DCA extends key Merrill Legal Solutions contracts

The Department of Constitutional Affairs (DCA) has announced that it is to extend for another year a series of key reporting and transcript contracts which have been held by Merrill Legal Solutions since 2004.

The contracts include the provision of stenography services at Crown Courts in London and the West Country, as well as the Court of Appeal. The DCA has also renewed Merrill’s contract for real-time reporting.

Caroline Woodman, Merrill Legal Solutions’ Contracts Business Director says: “We are very pleased that the DCA has entrusted us with these important contracts for another year. It is a testament to the hard work and commitment of all of the individuals involved in the day to day running of these contracts that the DCA has such faith in our services.”

Under the terms of the original DCA contract, this is the final extension year and Merrill Legal Solutions will next year be entering into the competitive re-tender process.
