Dublin office reports “steady increase” in business

WordWave’s Dublin office has seen a steady increase in business since it opened in November 2004.

Following the appointment of Business Development Manager Annette O’Sullivan, the company has begun providing both realtime and daily court reporting services for an ever-growing range of Irish-based clients.

Most recently, WordWave supplied its daily stenography service for leading Irish law firm Matheson Ormsby Prentice at a high profile case heard at Dublin’s Four Courts.

29 local residents sued Athlone Extrusions, a plastics manufacturing company, alleging environmental nuisance emanating from the company’s plant in Athlone, County Westmeath, a claim denied by the company.

Although the case settled after just four days, WordWave’s clients were delighted with the service they received.

“It’s the first time we’ve worked with WordWave, but hopefully it won’t be the last,” says Stuart Margetson from Matheson Ormsby Prentice. “We were very happy with the service, which was accurate, prompt and very cost effective.”

Meanwhile, WordWave has submitted a tender to provide its daily court reporting service at the Irish Criminal Courts – an announcement is expected later this month.

Says Annette O’Sullivan: “We’re really pleased with the response of clients based in Ireland, not just to our range of services but to our approach. While we have a wealth of international expertise, and a global resources to draw on, our aim above all is to meet local need, wherever we are working.”
