Merrill’s scanning expertise is part of its suite of litigation support services and involves electronically converting documents from paper to an electronic format using specialist scanning equipment. We then provide the images to the client either on CD-ROM or via the internet. Each page can be coded with various parameters which will enable the document to be retrieved by the client using a specially created search facility. This will enable the client to quickly locate and review documents and this is especially important with discovery documents in large litigation cases as it avoids having to trawl through pages and pages of paper to find what you need.
