Thank you!

It’s hard to believe that another 12 months have passed. On 26 February 2008, we celebrated what is one of the highlights of the year for us – the annual Merrill Legal Solutions’ “Judges’ Party”. The event started life 12 years ago when we started reporting under contract for the Courts of Appeal and Central Criminal Court. Over the years the party has grown with the company and is an opportunity to say a big thank you to all of our clients across the varied sectors in which Merrill now operates.

After last year’s success, we once again held the event at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel in London and this year the party was attended by more than 360 people, including the Master of the Rolls and prominent High Court and Court of Appeal judges. We welcomed a number of high profile QCs and barristers along with solicitors from major law firms and our court reporters had the chance to catch up with each other and also with many of the judges and barristers with whom they have worked over the years.

As Merrill has grown, so has the range of industry sectors in which we operate. This was reflected in the diversity of clients attending – guests included representatives of the Military Court Service, Ministry of Defence as well as media clients, including the BBC and some of our hard of hearing Speech to Text users.

Jayne Perry, Managing Director for Merrill Legal Solutions in the UK, had this to say: “This is one of our most important events and it is great to be able to entertain so many clients. We have had some wonderful feedback from people who attended and it is really satisfying to know that they enjoyed the evening.”
