Stop press … WordWave provides official record at Equitable Life trial

WordWave is providing its realtime court reporting service at the high-profile Equitable Life pensions dispute trial, which recently got underway at the Royal Courts of Justice.

With 18 separate realtime computer connections and over 50 people in court number 76 every day, it’s one of the most complex proceedings WordWave has ever worked on. Among the many parties involved are law firms Herbert Smith, Allen & Overy, Ince and Co and Baker McKenzie, as well as accountants PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young.

Fortunately, the company is using the latest wireless technology, keeping cabling to a minimum and speeding up the service.

As well as providing a live transcript and a daily edited version, WordWave has also trained many of the legal professionals taking part in the use of LiveNote®, the software it uses in its realtime service.
