Translating
Translation is the process of converting written text or spoken words to another language. Quality translation providers establish processes to ensure that the full meaning of the source material is accurately translated into the target language. Content meaning, technical accuracy and cultural acceptance are all considerations in the translation process.
In addition to translation, a product localisation project includes the consideration of local country currencies, date/time display and product functionality testing as well as other locale-specific cultural refinements and adaptations.
How does it work?
Each translation project completed by Merrill goes through at least one quality review for linguistic accuracy and an additional review for content layout. Client reviews are frequently integrated into the translation process with feedback being incorporated into the language database and final deliverable.
Interpreting
Interpreting is a complex, fast, high pressure process that requires excellent language skills, extensive experience, in-depth knowledge of the subject area, and confidence that the right word will be selected instantly, every time.
