Business transcription
High level business meetings, focus groups, round table discussions, Investor Relations events as well as HR grievance and disciplinary proceedings are an all too familiar part of the daily routine for many companies. Speech to text
We have developed an innovative service that allows the deaf and Hard of Hearing to play the fullest role in meetings, conferences and live events. A live, verbatim account of what is being said enables deaf and Hard of Hearing people to participate fully in proceedings and have access to all that is said. Our speech to text service provides communication support to participants in an onsite or remote capacity.
Captioning and subtitling
Through Captioning and Subtitling International (CSI), Merrill Legal Solutions’ subtitling joint venture with ITFC, we provide a range of high quality, cost effective pre-recorded and live subtitling services. Our expert subtitlers and broadcast stenographers produce the highest quality pre-recorded and live subtitles for television, video and interactive applications.
Broadcasts
Reporters accurately capture the record in court and a live transcript appears on a television news screen only seconds later with this first class broadcast service. When it comes to live feeds for broadcast, it’s all about delivering the news feed as accurately, quickly and accessibly as possible.

Business transcription: Our clients include FTSE 100 companies, banks, financial institutions, events and production companies, regulatory bodies, telecommunications and transport agencies, national broadcasters, press and PR companies.
Speech to text: Large corporations and organisations such as Accenture, BT, Equality and Human Rights Commission, as well as charities and government bodies and departments such as the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and communications regulator Ofcom plus many in-house legal teams, use our speech to text services with great success.
Captioning and subtitling: Clients include ABC (Australia), the Discovery group of channels, Jetix, National Geographic, MTV, VH1, Hallmark and others.
Broadcasts: In 2005, Merrill Legal Solutions joined forces with Sky News to televise for the first time proceedings of a court under UK jurisdiction. We have since gone from strength to strength in providing broadcasting services at the Osnabruck courts martial verdicts, Sion Jenkins re-trials, Abu Hamza, Anthony Walker and Damilola Taylor trials plus the Deepcut Inquest, amongst others. Both Sky News and BBC News 24 use our services regularly to strengthen their rolling television broadcasts.
